Hi All,

Right now I am using the axis 1.4. Today I noticed WebServices Handler class of axis methods are different one discussed in RMH.

Now I am little suspecious wheather I am using the right version of the axis for Practice. Also is it the right server for practice Web Service.

Thanks!
Shiva

The RMH book is a few years old. Axis 1.4 didn't exist back then, so I suppose it's possible that some APIs have changed. But the exam tests the WS APIs (JAX-RPC and SAAJ), not those of the implementation, so it shouldn't make a difference which version of which server you're using.

Axis was never the ideal platform for SCDJWS preparation. Axis could be called "Java Web Services" while the SCDJWS certifies you for "J2EE 1.4 Web Services".

As such the Sun Java System Application Server PE 8.2 with the Web Services Developer Pack 1.6 is the better preparation platform.

See SCDJWS Resources.
