I cannot say as which one is easy to pass.

But I personally feel that giving IBM 142 certification would definitely help to understand the concepts of Web services easily and it makes sense to give this examination before the sun's web services examination.

XML, namespaces and XML Schema comprise only one of the 11 SCDJWS Exam Objectives. SOAP is another one. WSDL is half an objective. Another one is SOAP and XML Processing APIs.

Hello Sita,

I can say in short,
If you would like to get certified in Java Web Services, then go for SCJWSD.

If you would like to get certified in core concepts of XML and XML Schema then go for IBM certification.

You can see in the objectives of SCJWSD that it covers XML and XML Schema concepts also.

As already mentioned above, SCDJWS only involves 'part' of entire XML technology.

XML certification on the other hand, involves 100% of XML technology.

Therefore, taking SCDJWS only doesnt mean you will know 100% of XML.

Maybe it is better if you take both.
