Deployment Descriptor

Do we have to know all the tags (and their functionality) provided in deployment descriptor file. eg <res-auth> <ejb-name> etc for the examination.
As the deployment tools make it easier for the Bean Developer to deploy beans it is unlikely that the bean programmer's would remember what tags to be provided for Session Beans, Entity Beans, CMP, BMP. If one had to deploy the beans thru deployment desciptor then the bean programmer would surely remember as he would be writing a DD for every bean to be deployed.

I don't think you need to know the specific tags so much but rather the types of information that are/can be in a DD. This is good to know even if you always have a wizard building the DD for you (since you'll be entering a lot of the info yourself, anyway).
