Hi All,
On part 2, I am still concerned with the load balancing issue.
I see that there are routers that can route based on cookie, or URL, or incoming IP, etc. I am trying to determine which is the best method, by what criteria to measure methods, and how to show this in the diagrams.
The client didn't explicitly mention any load balancing hardware (or a firewall for that matter), but could one assume that the client could purchase one if asked?

I think it is wise to mention load balancing in your assumptions as it is an architectural issue. I can't imagine a way to show it in the required diagrams. All that SSL might make load balancing challenging as well.
