Hi all,
The exam objectives state:

Identify costs and benefits of using an intermediate data-access object between an entity bean and the data resource.

Does this imply that DAO's should be used only with entity beans? I have found them useful for separating business logic from JDBC code in all beans. Any reason they should not be used with session beans?

You can use a DAO with session beans, JSPs, or servlets. See Figures 1.5 and 1.7 of the Blueprint.
