Hi Guys,
I haven't written here in a while, since I was waiting to hear back on my
SCEA exam. That 30 day waiting period is pure torture, so I tried my best to keep my mind off of it.
I finally heard back, and I just barely squeaked by :-) But now I am certified. I know I still have a lot to learn, but maybe this is an advantage. When people think they know everything, thats when things can go terribly wrong.
I wish Sun gave more feedback on the
test. Maybe they will, and I just have not received it yet. I would really like to know where I lost points and all. I realized after I turned it in that I had not given the client applications enough focus, so I really figured that I might have to do it again. I figured the second time I did it I would learn even more. I will now have to fit in that additional learning for on my own time now. I'm not complaining :-)
I'm not going to have a lot to say on much of the questions I expect this posting will solicit: How did you do it? How long did it take? Etc.) Keep in mind, I barely squeaked by. I consider this certification the beginning, not the end, of my learning.
Best of luck guys. It is a project worth doing. This is a great field to aspire to become great in. People who can really do this are rare, and I think the main determining factor is dedication.
