Hi Friends I am a SCJP,UML,XML certified and now want to prove my abilities in J2EE to get a good job in US or Canada. So which certification worth more in terms of longterm rewards and global acceptance.
1.IBM Enterpeise Connectivity with J2EE(cost $60) or 2.SUN's SCJD+SCJA (cost $400+$600 = $1000 ).Note the difference. I think both exams covers same objectives. So what to do now,sun track also takes more time. Thank You in advance for any suggestion. I am really Confused ....

Hi, I don't think you are making a fair comparison here. You don't get a qualification for passing the IBM exam alone, it is just one step towards the "Vendor" Certified Enterprise Developer. To get that qualification you need SCJP + test 486 (UML) vendor exam + test 483 + vendor exam. So the cost is for 5 exams in total. For the SCEJ2A you don't have any pre-requisite exams, just the cost for the 3 SCEJ2A parts. So all in all, the cost is actually quite similar. You do not need to do the SCJD in order to do SCEJ2A. When I took the IBM test it cost me a good deal more than $60, so I think you have a real bargain there! Hope this helps you make your choice. Regards Chris
