Can We declare in local interface the remote interface type?

Hi Ranchars
We r aware that due to rmi issues it is illegal to declare a local component interface as return type or a method parameter in a remote interface .But what about its converse .Can We declare in local interface the remote interface type?I think there should b no rmi issue.
