It's been exactly a month since I finished the Part III exam, and I still haven't gotten any indication of my SCEA results. I emailed Sun to ask them what's up, but I haven't gotten a reply yet. I get the impression that Sun doesn't have a solid procedure in place for handling SCEA candidates who have gone beyond Part I. I bet that they go into some sort of mad scramble every time a new candidate appears, going around in circles trying to figure out what to do.

Hi Bagwan
You're right. It took 6 weeks for my results (part 2 & 3) to be released. Prior to that, I had very bad experience with the downloading of part 2 after I cleared part 1

Could you please send me the details about the Assignment in Part2?
If you send some sample assignement and solution, it is better for me.
After getting the Assignment, Can I take my own time (week/ month) to clear it ..
PLease reply to rjpm_natarajan@hotmail.com

It sounds like the same problem candidates are having with the SCJD. The problem is not really with Sun, but with Prometric, and them uploading the essay exam answers to Sun. For some reason Prometric doesn't send it because they marked it as a failure.
Here's is an e-mail I received after I send an e-mail to Sun about it.
I am responding on behalf of Bill Richardson. I am the General Manager
of Certification at Sun. I understand your frustration and concerns. We
are committed to a high level of customer service and want to make sure
that the rigorous process of passing your certification exams is not
complicated by other factors.
In December, we started to see the number of complaints on the essay
rise.
In January, the complaints increased and we alerted Prometric to issue.
They investigated but didn't get back to us until February with an
analyse of the cause. Essentially, the essays were handled differently
than normal exams by the individual testing centers and in many cases
were not uploaded with the standard tests. Up to recently, Prometric
did not have a system of checks and balances that would alert them, if
an essay was not uploaded the day it was completed by the test center.
They have put a process in place and the upload issues have been almost
eliminated. If you do hear of any, please feel free to have those
individuals contact me directly.

His e-mail address is rick.bunzel@sun.com
Please forward your info to him, and I think he will get right on it.

Thanks, Mark. If you recall, as it turned out, I did finally get my results. I did complain, and they did get me my results, though a week late. That was very interesting about Prometric treating the essay exam like a failed (and hence, lower priority?) exam. That does sound plausible, as the essay exam is not graded immediately.

Natarajan,
Please don't do that.
You've piggybacked on to two unrelated threads asking for private help on something that we've made clear in previous threads here that we cannot do.
