Hi All,
Today i took the exam and passed part-1 with 87%.
Here is my breakup:
concepts: 87%
Common arch: 66%
Legacy connectivity: 80%
EJB: 100%
EJB Container model: 100%
Protocols: 100%
Applicability of J2EE: 100%
DesignPatterns: 100%
Messaging: 100%
Internationalization: 100%
Security: 0%
The exam was easier. However the time was not
sufficient, due to lot of scenario questions. I just
completed my questions with just 20 seconds left [
Infact for two questions i just marked the answers
without reading the question]. Please plan your time
well.
Dont woryy security questions were simple and
straightforward, may be i marked them wrongly due to
carelessness.
Following were the documents/books i referred:
1) EJB by Monson Haefel [ Must Read. I found this book
much useful for architect exam when compared to
Mastering EJB]
2) Mastering EJB by Ed. Roman
3) J2EE BluePrints
4) UML - Rational Tutorial and UML Distilled [ Martin
Fowler]
5) Design Patterns - Lot of links from internet [ just
searched internet for patterns]
6) Notes and documents from this group
7) SUN Certified Enterprise Architect-Study Guide
Its time for Part-II.
Thanks to Javaranch and the participants.
regards
sankar
