Thx everybody here! I have taken my exam on monday and passed with 85%. Actually the questions are not tough but there are some confusing in paper. Or we should be careful about it. Just as mentioned many many times here, the questions about security, i18n, design and uml are just some basic questions. But I think more effort should be put in part EJB and about applicability.
I am going to get the voucher for the assignment exam. Anyway Thx alot

But You have not taken the Programmer exam nor the Web developer exam?
Isn't it a must for having the programmer exam before the architect exam?
As I remember it seems we need to take the programmer exam first.
Taking about the exam, I dont think you should be so nervous about it. Once you have experience in working in enterprise application design and development, and know what they require in the several aspects mentioned by Sun are enough.
It doesn't mean this is just a simple exam and make sure you know the related topics to J2EE well.

Sorry for missing something...
If you have not been to Ian's page, you must have a look there as it can help you to know how much you know and can sum up what is required for your exam.

well no it is not required to be SCJP or any for SCEA . thats why i liked it
since i did wanted to do SCJP now becuase now days its too common and it doesnt mean that one who has done SCJP has fair know of Java trust me i have seen not one many ppl who are SCJP and cant write a small program but they know things may be better then me .
Sun invites everyone tocome and give the test.
could you please give me any Tips regarding Test i mean which are the things which i should take care ( e.g marking a question, time send on each question etc).... any tinny help would be great form me

The time allow for the whole exam should be 1 and a half hour, if I have not made a mistake, but I just spent not more than an hour for the whole exam. Actually I am afraid I have missed something or overlook something so I have checked thru the ans word by word twice. So I don't think time is really a concern.
About the questions, there are several questions about case study that requires u to go thru them before answering. But luckily that, the key points or requirements for design concern are seperated in point form note which makes it easier for locating.

U know I am absolutely agree that it is too common or Sun has just made it too easy for the SCJP exam, I am afraid it is getting to be another MCSE or MCSD. That will worsen the status of the exam.

Great to Learn that You have made it and well. You know I have just got my part 2, exam questions and going to digest it (once I can have time from my tedious office work!!! )
Let's discuss the question once U have got yours too!

U buy the assignment voucher from where U bought your part 1 voucher. And several days later, in my case 4 days, they will reply you via email telling that your assignment can be downloaded.
So you can just login to www.certmanager.net/sun
and download your copy!
Go ahead man!

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
