Hi Folks
It was interesting to find out that in the Java Pet Store example, they used the Fast-Lane Reader Pattern to create a CatalogDAO instead of using a catalogEJB to display the catalog.
Just wondering if any of you have used this pattern for displaying the flight list in ur assignment, if not whats ur perspective ???

Hi Eric,
As I understand from Fast Lane Reader, it's nothing but a component that gets large amount of read only data from the database using a DAO instead of using any entity bean. Also, FLR might get stale data and hence should not be used when the freshest of data is a critical.
I have also thought of FLR while analysing the assignemnt. I believe, for the seat search, we need the fresh data and hence a FLR may be unsuitable for this purpose. What do you guys think about it ?
Thanks.
Bijan

I think it is ideal for this situation. Think of all the connection legs that need to be returned.
