I am thinking about starting to study the Enterprise Architect Certification.
I have some doubts about the part 2 and 3. In the success guide from Sun is said:
Part 2: a design project.
What really means? what i receive when i download the requirements?
I only must do several UML diagrams, what more?

Part 3: an essay exam
What means this? 4 questions about what? the above project?

I am sorry but still i have not read some guide about the exam ( for example Simon Roberts) and the success guide do not clear me this questions.
thank in advanced

SCEA Part I is your standard multiple choice exam. The only difference from other certification exams that you might have taken is that SCEA Part I is not nearly as focused on details as it is on concepts. Quite a few topics are covered but none (with the exception of EJB) are covered extensively. The best description I have heard of SCEA Part I is that it is a mile wide and an inch deep.
SCEA Part II is a J2EE UML Design Project. There is no coding required. Your job is to come up with a suitable design for a given problem. The only hard and fast requirement is that it the design must be J2EE and must include a number of diagrams including Class, Component, and Interaction diagrams. The specific details will be in the assignment that you download. Do not feel that you are limited to only the diagrams requested from the assignment though. If it will make you design better then include all the diagrams you would like.
SCEA Part III is a freebie. The common belief is that part 3 exists just to verify that you are the one that completed the assignment. Personally I think it is so superficial that it can't even achieve that. Best advice for part 3: Don't worry about it.

I can't see you passing without entity beans.

Thanxs Chris, but I actually don't understand why we do need to pay a voucher in order to get a test which we don't need retake, even if we've been failed. Just my point of view.

You obviously don't understand... you pay for a voucher so Sun can make more money.
Seriously though, I think the Part 3 Exam is a waste of time. The good news is that you don't need worry about studying for it and you should be in and out in 30 minutes.
