Hi All,
You're probably tired of having people walk into the forum and ask you the same old question : "What materials do I need to prepare for this exam ? ". But here's one more such )
I'm a sun certified programmer and web component developer. Have good experience in java. I looked through the SCEA books link, but couldnt figure out which of those was a comprehensive book for the architecture exam. Is there such a book (doesnt have to cover everything, but atleast 70%). What other materials would I need to get started ?
thanks

Hi,
As of now you should try out Mark Cade book for SCEA and SCEAWhiz by Sanjay and Ian.
Also check out the SCEA links page for few other free mock exams.

Hi Neelima,
There is a second SCEA Exam Giude book to be published by Osborne in December 2002; it is titled:
Sun Certified Enterprise Architects for J2EE: Study Guide (Exam 310-051)
by Paul Allen, Joseph J. Bambara
It consists of more that 700 pages and maybe is the one that asked for.
But with the Java experience that you have it will take a short time to prepare for the successful passing of SCEA Part 1.
I sure wish this book was published and made available 3 months ago so that I could benefit from it.
But I still feel that I got a firm ground to stand on with other resources (such as SCEA@Whiz) for my SCEA Part 1 tomorrow.

Success to you in your SCEA pursuit!

Thanks,
Seid
