Hi ,

I am using com.bea.document.IDocument object in my java class . By using the xpath we get the data from the XML elements . eg..
idocument.getStringFrom("/wlpiresponse/Root/Hpies/GetBudgetDetailForUpdate_Response/BudgetDetails/BudgetDepartment/TaskId)
This code extracts the from the XML path
<wlpiresponse><Root><Hpies><GetBudgetDetailForUpdate_Response><ProjectDetails><Id>3430</Id><Number>AS108419</Number></ProjectDetails><BudgetDetails>
<TotalAmount>80000</TotalAmount><BudgetDepartment><TaskId xmlns:fo=\"http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Format\" >6317</TaskId>
When the compiler encounters the namespace
xmlns:fo=\"http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Format\" whenreading the TaskID through Xpath
An error is thrown
org.w3c.dom.DOMException: DOM003 Namespace error
Please can any one help me how to resolve this error
very urgent
regards
sundar

This is not an answer to your question. Are you Kali of TPGIT by any chance?

There's a forum dedicated to XML related issues. You'll get better results if you delete this post and put it over there.
