Hi All,
Today i found that i passed part 2&3 with 81%. I am a passive member to the group and following the messages posted by others. I am happy with the score i got as i worked for only 1 week on the assignment due to work pressures. Thank you very much to all the members of the group.
The breakup is as follows:
Grade: P
Score: 81
Comment: This report shows the total points that could have been awarded in each section and the actual amount of points you were awarded. This information is provided in order to give you feedback on your relative strengths on a section basis. The maximum number of points you could have received is 100, minimum to pass is 70. Class Diagram (44 maximum) .......................... 32
Component Diagram (44 maximum) ...................... 37 Sequence/Collaboration Diagrams (12 maximum) ........ 12
I guess i lost marks in class diagrams as i did not provide the database schema. I also made some corrections to the bdom.
Anyway, quite happy that i passed in the exam. It took nearly 4 weeks to get the results and the waiting is very painful.
Thanks to all the memebers of the group.
Regards
Durvasula

congrats Bhagawanlu,
I know you must be a happy man. Three cheers for you
I am also not so active member of the group.I am preparing for SCEA-I at the moment. I do not have any prior work experience in any of the areas mentioned in the SCEA-I Neither do I have any architecht experience. Only Web development though I have done IBM UML(486) so I think that part shouldnt be a problem for me but still would you recommend to a person with this profile to appear for SCEA. I believe that part-I shouldnt be much of a problem but when it comes to II you really need a lot of architecht experience. Any takers. comments.
Thanks

Hi Deep,
I am sure a happy man on passing the exam. Thank you very much. As you have already cleared IBM's UML exam, i believe part 2 is not very tough. I too does not have any prior architectural experience on j2ee, but 2 years of development experience of it. You just concentrate on part 1 first. Once you clear it, i dont think it would be difficult to do the assignment. This group is very good group and you get all the clarifications instantaneously by the fellow ranchers.
So, my advice for you is to concentrate on part 1 and then think of part 2 and 3.
All the best for you.
Regards
Durvasula

Hi, Congratulations. What tool did you use for part II? I am using Rational Rose, however, I couldn't find a tool to generate HTML/GIF/JPEG for the diagram. I tried Word, RoseGraph, paint, etc. They can do the job, but the file is too big. I believe the jar file you can upload has to be less than 500k. Please advise. Thanks,

Hi,
I used Poseidon Community Edition for class diagrams and Rational Rose for sequence and component diagrams. I used rosegraph to convert the rose diagrams to gif images. My jar file is very less and it is only 110kb. GIF images are not very big. You try again, there must be sth. wrong in the first time, use rosegraph to convert into gif images.

Hi Durvasula,
Congrats for the nice score. I am also preparing Part II. Would you tell me your key to success. How you approach to your design. Please advise. For me, i am just rounding about. I am still confusing on how to define some classes and how to interpret some kind of scenario like seat reservation.
