do I need to finish Part 2 in one year?

I download my assignment about a year ago.
But I do not have time to finish it,do I need to finish assignment in one year? please help.

There is no time limit on part 2. As long as the version of the SCEA that you are working on is active you are fine.

Someone said that I have to finish the Part2 in one year or it will exprie. I sent email to sun, but did not get any answer.
Can any one give me the details?

This is a common misconception, based on the fact that exam vouchers expire within a year. However, the assignments are different in the sense that you pay to start them and are given as much time as you want to finish. The only stipulation is that the certification must still be active.
Go here, you will see that it is clearly stated that Part 2 has no time limit.

There is no time limit for part 2. You can confirm it with Sun Education by phone.
