Hi:
What is the current "best" study guide for SCEA. I have Jaworski but it seems to be very dated so I decided to ask here.
I know that the Ranch is the place to go to find those in the know!

I doubt if there is a single book that would qualify for the best study guide. Given the breadth of areas covered, and that the test comprises of three parts, and that SCEA books are being published only recently makes it even more difficult to define what constitutes "best".
I found study notes, links(from our own SCEA links page) and a few popular titles on each of the covered topics(EJB, JMS, Servlets&JSP, UML, Security etc. ) are necessary and sufficient to prepare for the test.

I saw the thread about : "THE BOOK : SCEA for J2EE(TM) Technology Study Guide " But it didn't get very good reviews. That's why I'm asking the community.
When studing for SCWCD I first bought Heller's "Java 2 Web Developer Certification" book, but then I read some of the reviews and comments on the Ranch and that convinced me to get SCWCD Exam Study kit. I found it much better than Heller's book and used it to successfully pass the SCWCD.
That's why I'm wondering what the community perceives as the best guide, or atleast, the best starting point.

I wish I had an answer for you. SCEA study guides are entering the market only now and the only one that's available isn't good enough.

The much awaited SCEA book is finally out. I got a copy and so far it's been a good read. The title is: Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE Study Guide (Exam 310-051);
and you can get it at a good price at http://www.bookpool.com/.x/re87hnr1er/sm/0072226870
Wish you all the best in your studies.
Louis.
