Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE Technology Study Guide -- Mark Cade, Simon Roberts; Paperback
I have read this book( see my review in Book Reviews forum). Beware the book does not cover JMS and hence all objectives related to Messaging. Otherwise it is a good book. Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE Study Guide (Exam 310-051) -- Paul Allen, Joseph J. Bambara; Paperback I am currently reviewing this book and so far the reading has been good. It covers subsantially more ground than the other one and comes with an accompanying CD containing most chapters in PDF format and a test with 250 questions. I haven't had a chance to run the test yet. Some chapters seem to "spoon-feed" the concepts with pages full of code samples.... Code samples in an architect study guide is too much hand-holding in my opinion.
Open Group Certified Distinguished IT Architect. Open Group Certified Master IT Architect. Sun Certified Architect (SCEA).
looked at the bambara's book. Looks very descriptive for each of the objectives. look at the amazon.com reviews. looks like it is lot better than the mccade. I am currently reviewing this book. I have not read the mccade book so I cannot compare. But from what I heard from people mccade book sucks. bambara misses being more descriptive in uml but looks like it is more readable to me. Nav
My favorite is a chocolate cupcake with white frosting and tiny ad sprinkles.
