I keep hearing about Value Objects in this forum. I would like to know more about them. Can anybody recommend a site or book that will explain this topic further?
Thanks!
Owee

Use a Value Object to encapsulate the business data. A single method call is used to send and retrieve the Value Object. When the client requests the enterprise bean for the business data, the enterprise bean can construct the Value Object, populate it with its attribute values, and pass it by value to the client.
U can view the below site if u need more info on this.

Hello.
Here another net resource with a lot of variation of the Value Object pattern (among the other patterns):
http://www.theserverside.com/patterns/index.jsp
Also, there is a book:
Core J2EE Patterns: Best Practices and Design Strategies, ISBN: 0130648841.
Here you can find a lot of j2ee patterns(client and server sides) and Value Object is one of them.
Hope it helps.
Best regards,
Maxim Avezbakiev.
