Hi Paul and Joseph...and welcome to the JavaRanch.
I took a look at Amazon about your book but I was anable to find a detailed desciption.
Is there a place where we could have a Table of Content or something like that ?
Does your book cover part I and Part II of the certification, or only part I ??
What is the difference between your book and the one from Sun (
SCEA Study Guide.)

THANKS to Chris for covering the TOC question.
The book covers all parts of the certification.
The Sun study is good but it has only a handful of certification questions. We figured that we would try to provide a lot of Q/A and that would help any potentail test takers. Doing a study guide is somewhat daunting because your focus should be the exam only. The study guide needed to cover the exam objectives and that made it hard to create continuity between the chapters.
We cover J2EE a bit more comprehensively in our J2EE UNLEASHED book.
Hope this helps.
JB

Thanks Joseph.
Is your book "approved" by Sun ?
I don't want to question your ability to write such a book, but I mean, to publish a book on a SUN exam, do you have to obtain an authorization from them, and to have their feedback while it is written ?

Jean-Louis:
No, we were asked by McGraw Hill to do the guide based on the success of our "J2EE Unleashed" book.
Our technical editors were from SUN but we did not have SUN's approval (not that we needed it) or their help.
Thanks,
Joe Bambara

Thanks Joseph.
I really don't want you to think I doubt you were able to do the book without Sun.
My question was just on an legal point of view. I was wondering if SUN has a kind of copyright on its certifications.
So thanks for your answer, and I look forward to reading your SCEA book soon. (actually, I'm wanting for it since march !!)
