What are all the protocol options to use for the flight java application client to interact with the server behind the firewall. I thought RMI/IIOP tunneled thru the HTTP port:80 to directly interact with the App server. Other option is using HTTP through servlet controller at the web container. Any opinion guys?

Hi J2EE
Welcome to JavaRanch.
One of the few rules we have is that your displayed name should ideally be your real name. If you do not want to display your real name, then we require it to appear as though it is a real name. This is described in full in the JavaRanch naming policy. Could you please update your displayed name to meet our policy? You may change it here.
We also have a policy on real questions. While we are allowed to discuss general issues that directly relate to the assignment, we are not allowed to directly ask a question on how to solve one of the issues within the assignment. I am sure that you can reword your question to make it more generic.
I have closed this topic as I believe it does not meet our policy.
If the questions are more generic (and the answers) then other people cannot just copy and paste them to complete their assignment. They have to understand the generic issues, and work out how to apply them. This is valuable to us since it means that anyone who earns the SCEA certification does deserve to earn it. Employers will not think that anybody with no experience could earn it.
Regards, Andrew
