SCEA logo

I finally got my SCEA logo, but there is no mention that it's an architect logo, "just" Java professional... is it correct??

No Choke! Really!
The logo I received has an oval shape. The left half is black and contains both the Java cup and the letters "JAVA". The right half is white and contains the text "Sun Certified Enterprise Architect". I passed SCEA in February this year and got the logo about six weeks later. Maybe Sun has changed the logo since March 2003?

that's what i was expecting! the ugly logo style SCWCD... but i got this one even more confusing... it seem that at sun they decided they cannot bear any more this logo and painted new ones, but in the meantime they are messing up with the logos.
i asked them information, but no reply upto now...

it seem that the new logos will be available within the next 6 months, and the old ones are no more supported :-(........ maybe i should mention in my CV!

Can anybody tell me what all artifacts are received after clearing Part-II/Part-III ? Do we get a hardcopy of Certificate ?

Hi Gan,
Welcome to JavaRanch.
If this is like the other Sun certifications, shortly after passing part 3 you should recieve:

Framable certificate stating you passed SCEA

SCEA lapel pin

SCEA certification card (size of a credit card, states that you are certified and the date you got your certification)

Letter of congratulations

Agreement for to use the logo (stating where you can use it / conditions of use)

If you fill in the agreement and send it back to Sun, sometime later you should get an email telling you where you can download the logo from. Although with the current logo I don't know that this is worthwhile

Did u get all the artifacts in a single go ? I got only the lapel pin/badge and no hardcopy of certs. Do we receive it seperately ?

We can't show off our hardwork on SCEA without a distinguish SCEA logo.

this has got to be a mistake, i rememberd had individual logo for each certification because i had requested SCJP, SCJD and SCWCD b4

I wrote to Sun and their response was that they way are working on creating a new one .
Can someone post the old logo , I would like to use that , atleast it has the SCEA on the logo?
