I really wish somewhere in the assignment they would say something definitive about the functional boundaries of the system you are to architect. My point is that they are clearly asking you to develop a ticket purchasing system, but they never say it succinctly or clearly.
In order for a ticket purchasing system to work you have to have a system which controls the 'inventory of seats'. Perhaps this is not the terminology that the airline industry uses, but you need keep track of the inventory of seats because otherwise the system will have no way to know, for example, what flights there are or which seats are available. Now nothing in the use cases directly suggests that you have to develop such a 'seat inventory' system, but there is also no mention that such a system exist.
Could someone who has passed this assignment please inform me as to how to interpret this aspect of the requirements?
Thanks

I think you should consider that thing, becuase we are developing the architect. It could be used in different environment, even we want to add another modular.

Sorry you lost me. How does considering the system in modular terms help to resolve this issue?
The issue here, as I see it, is effectively about a gross lack of clarity in the requirements. Modular design may allow me to collect this uncertainty behind some interface (to hide, as it were, this unknown) but the motivation to do so for an architect would never be due to not being able to flesh out a requirement with a customer.
Now admittedly there is always some degree of a 'fog of war', but not anything approximating the extent of vagueness that occurs in the SCEA assignment - that is, not knowing the boundaries of functional requirements.
