I wonder if it is true that with current major commercial application server, CMP, when propertly used, is genererally perform better than BMP?
When I was preparing SCBCD for j2ee 1.3, I had an impression that CMP is prefered choice to BMP. Now I am preparing SCEA, I have one of guide book saying that CMP is still maturing, so BMP will performace better.
One of mock exam claims that only when you don't care about performance and the data is simple you will use CMP. Now ejb2.0 is, i guess, in wide spread use. Now, I believe these claims are true about two years ago.
With CMR, CMP can also manage the complex data. I am afraid that SCEA part I exam may t only accept the answer which is only correct when before any ejb2.0 compliant application server is available.
Thanks,

Remember the SCEA exam is based on EJB 1.1 specs. So those "old" claims would be true from exam perspective. For part 2 however, I hear people saying you could use any version as long as you can justify its use.
IMO, exam would not ask questions that can generate any controversy
