Is XML support included in J2EE? I think anser is no as we need external parsers etc to support XML.

Absolutely! XML support is all over J2EE.
J2EE 1.4 includes support for JAXP, JAX-RPC, SOAP, JAXR(XML Registries) all of which rely on the XML technology. J2EE1.4 comes bundled with Sun's XML parser Crimson, the default choice for XML parser and Apache's Xalan, the default choice for XSLT transformation engine.

What is the answer for current exam? One of the mock exams marked my answer wrong when I said J2EE supports XML also my exam guide talks in general about XML and J2EE but no where explicitly states what you have stated about crimson etc.
