Hi,

How are the applets signed?
What can a signed applet perform on the client machine?

Thank you
Murat

This belongs to the category of digital signature.

The private key is used to the sign the jar file, and its corresponding public key is used to verify the authenticity. The public key may be certified by an CA.

If a signed applet is trusted on the client machine, it can do anything that is allowed in the security policy file.
