All,
I got my results finally. Took a while about 7-8 weeks.
First of all, thanks to all in this forum. I learned a lot from this site.
One advice: do not be frustated if you do not get results in 4 weeks, In my case it took abt 7-8 weeks,
Here are details.
Score: 76
Comment: This report shows the total points that could have been awarded in each section and the actual amount of points you were awarded. This information is provided in order to give you feedback on your relative strengths on a section basis. The maximum number of points you could have received is 100, minimum to pass is 70. Class Diagram (44 maximum) .......................... 31 Component Diagram (44 maximum) ...................... 38 Sequence/Colloboration Diagrams (12 maximum) ........ 7

Looks like i lost a lot of points in class diagram.
I had abt 25 classes in it but frankly my system as a whole was overly complicated.
but i am fine with just passing the exam.
regards

anand

Also one more word of caution.
Look result at http://www.certmanager.net/sun_assignment and not http://www.certmanager.net/sun url as latter one is not up-to-date.
I was doing the mistake of checking latter one..

Congrats Aanand ! good job !
what are your thoughts on losing marks in the class diagram? Do you know why it might have happened? did u have more detailed classes (delegates, servicelocators etc) or less classes (missed asssociations etc)?
Any insight on this might be very helpful.

Thanks,
Parag

Aanand,

Congratulation! Well done!

Would you share with us in component diagram, have you used any WAF or Struts framework components?

Thanks.

all,
This is summary of what I feel about my result.
I am not sure why I lost marks in class diagram. AFAIK, It was good but may be I had design overly complex. My advice to you is to keep complexity minimum. had 4-5 Component diagrams.
I used Sun's WAF as the framework, But I know lot of guys with no framework have scored very well. So may be sun expects it to be more of a academic exercise. In real world, I presume enterprise Apps would benifit from having framework in place to enforce MVC separation but it adds to the complexity of the design.
My sequence diagrams were very detailed. I should have tried to curtail some of the details by UML notes. But In the end, I submitted it to get over with it..I would advice to wait and take a fresh look after you have done your work. I was kind of resistant to change my work once I drew all the diagrams. I took into acct, both web and app client into my design.
I made assumptions doc of 3 pages explaining all of them
Finally I did not score much to give much advice..but thought would contribute to this lively forum by my words.
best of luck for all aspirants.
regards,
Anand
