Hey Bill ,

It will be helpful to us , send me a private message and give me you msn account to include you on my list, if you don't have one, take one on microsft its free and useful .... and by the means of it we can talk more about SCEA.

Regards.,

Hey Bill/Paulo,

I am also beginning the study for SCEA. I have heard that yahoo group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/scea_j2ee is a good place to start. It has links and documents of people who have cleared various parts.

Let me know what all you have collected!

Thanks
GA

  • Start at our SCEA Links page. Checkout the objectives and the overall layout of the exam as published by Sun.
  • Start preparing for Part I - read all the resources on the links page, the J2EE spec, EJB spec, J2EE tutorial etc.
  • If you want to buy a certification guide, checkout the "Book Reviews" forum. There are two guides available and both of them have been reviewed. Use the "search" feature to browse through old posts about these books.
  • Checkout the "EJB and Other J2EE Technologies" forum. There is a ton of useful information. I recommend asking EJB questions in the other forum rather than this forum, simply because discussions in this forum tend to focus more on subsequent parts ie., II and III.
  • When you are ready, register and go take the Part I

  • ...and you know the rest

    Good luck!
