Q1: false, because there is not ejbPassivate method in stateless session bean.

Q2: HTTP is not on the top of SSL, howerer, it is on the top of TCP/IP, the HTTPS is on the top of SSL.

Q .1 ejbPassivate() is not called when ejbRemove()is called. ejbPassivate is called to passivate stateful session bean to storage and ejbRemove is called for bean destruction and the end of bean's life cycle.

Q 2. SSL works on transport level ( TCP/IP) and HTTP works on application level. So that's what you meant then it's correct.
