Hi All,

While representing the Login Use Case through Sequence diagram, how can we represent the Alternate flow of signon error/sucess, based on which the NextView would be selected.

Do we need to represent both the cases as different diagrams or it is enough to have a single diagram and give a high-level message like 'GetResponse' instead of Error/Sucess message in which case the representation to the Next View Selected would be generic .

Something like :

Forward<--------Select Next View<-------GetResponse

TIA,
Ganesh

Ganesh ,
Show the sequence diagram notation like
[if success] then do this [failure] do that.

Or u can attach a note on one message and explain incase of failure the message needs to display an error.

You can choose which ever seems best.
With this assignment that is the good thing that if u explain the logical steps it is acceptable.

HTH
