Class Diagram - Technology independent ?

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hi all,

Is Class Diagram supposed to be technology independent? If yes then I just list Entities, SessionFacade classes etc. I don't specify what is Session EJB, what is Entity EJB etc. I can show J2EE components in Component Diagram. Correct?

Correct Tomas,
U can show J2EE components in component diagram but try to keep your class diagram as much technology independent as u can. That way u can do with less classes and less complications too .

Hi,
Some people have used notes in the class diagrams to say what are entity beans, session beans, etc.

Ramon,

What's the difference from using stereotypes or calling it XYZBean then? I think there should be no sign of J2EE technology at all? Anybody? What is your opinion/experience?

Based on people who passed, you can do what you like. It's down to the individual. Some have used stereotypes like Cade, some have mentioned class types in notes, some have not used either.

I see your point and I would normally agree with you. My view is that I'll use stereotypes or notes, as the exam is based on J2EE, and it might help with the marks.

Barry's not gonna like this. Barry's not gonna like this one bit. What is Barry's deal with tiny ads?
