Head First Patterns

I am so in love with the Head first series and wanted to know if the Head First Patterns includes the patterns from GOF ? Does it include all the needed patterns for SCEA?

I think this book prepares only for patterns. For the complete objectives, u need a bunch of other books.

Thank you. It was just for curiosity. There is a loong way before going for the SCEA. I'm studying for SCWCD and then I'll go for IBM XML Developer. I'll give a go to the book anyway, as it seems to me a good idea.

The new HF patterns book covers the GoF patterns, but it doesn't attempt to prepare you for any certifications. The good news is that it should be available in about a week, yeah!

Thanks Bert for the reply. Just curious, if it does cover the Gof patterns, isn't it what SCEA needs, as far as patterns go?

Of course, I am talking only about the objectives. If I need to be a good architect, I need to go beyond.

Hi,
You need the GOF patterns for part I but for part II you need 'Core J2EE Patterns'.
