Hello to u java gurus...got 1 qs

1. Am eagerly waiting to hear some advice/opinion on how to implement security in java App Client. For the web client, it appears to me that theIntercepting Filter from j2ee blueprints is a nice idea. But what about the App Client.

2. I have heard some people are going for Container based authentication for the App Client. I think I am missing a few bits out here. The client resides on a different VM from the EJB server. Thus, the client does not belong to the container. So how do we apply Container based authentication here? Will somebody explain this in a bit detail?

Thanks is advance...

Folks,
I posted this topic quite some time ago; unfortuntely found no response as yet. Please help me out!

Talking about security implementations, how do you show it in the class/component/sequence diagrams?

Or do we have to provide just the strategy and explanation for security?

Presently I am confused between choosing several security techniques like: JSSE & JAAS & Container Managed authentications. Any of you can help me to decide which is best for when? Is it also possible to use all/more-than-one of them simaltneously?

Eagerly waiting for your opinions to pour in!
