Hi,

Is it possible to go for Part 3 first and then only upload Part 2 assignment? How would the question on Part 3 based upon?

Steven,

Yes it is possible to appear for Part III and then upload Part II. They both are evaluated together so submitting one or the other doesnot halt anything.

There are four essay type questions in Part III. They are generic in nature and are not framed on the basis of your proposed architecture/design. The questions are at broad level and you do not need any addn preparation for it.

I would suggest you submit Part II and then appear for Part III. That way you will have an addn option to provide anything that you missed out in Part II.

regards,
Deepak

I have heard from those who have taken the exam that Part III is easy as it is based on the assignment that you have done. A little bit contradiction from what you explain above - or did I misunderstand something?

What are the type of questions that are asked? Is it J2EE Design specific like how the Design pattern questions asked in Part I ?

Steven,

What I meant is :

1. Sun does look at your porposed solution to prepare the questions for you.

2. The questions are J2EE questions but are generic in nature and apply to any SCEA assignment.

3. You do not need any special preparation for Part III.

I have submitted my Part II and III and am awaiting the results.

regards,
Deepak

Part-III questions are not based on your submission. Questions are generic. Your answers should be based on your submission. If you did your assignment and know why you did it that way, there's no extra preparation needed. There're 4 questions. I took Part-III on 2/4, a day after uploading Part-II. The result was posted on 3/6.

Good luck,
Shogo
