Hi,

I am in USA. My Prometric Id is different from my SSN. What is the Id and file name I am supposed to create to upload my Part II assignment solution?

I appreciate any suggestion.

Thanks,

Prasad

Prasad,

There is nothing like suggestion.

The rule laid down by Sun is, if you are in USA then your jar name should contain your SSN number.

Thanks Deepak.

But, I don't remember like providing my SSN to Prometric. How do they correlate my SSN with Prometric ID ( used for Part 1 exam).

Also, are you located in USA and did you do the same?

Thanks,

Prasad

I live in the US and have SSN, but my Prometric ID is different from SSN. I got my Prometric ID long ago when I took my first Sun cert. exam.

I used my Prometric ID for purchasing a voucher, scheduling an exam, etc. I submitted SCEA Part-II last month using the ID as filename. No problem (and I passed ).

Good luck,
Shogo

Thanks Shogo Ito. So, you used the Prometric Id for the Part II. and not SSN. right? Is your jar file name similar to "SCEA-SR1234567" ?

Thanks,

Prasad

Yes, Prometric ID for Part-I, II, and III. Filename like "scea-sp1234567.jar". I had it in lowercase as was in the instruction, but I didn't think it mattered anyway...

Prasad,

Yes I followed the instructions, which clearly mentions about using the SSN number.

Before you upload the assignment, you have to login using your prometric id and thats how everything gets connected.

I do not know how they connect the SSN with the promteric id.

I submitted my assignment 2 weeks back and think will have to wait for 2 more weeks before I see the result.

Deepak

Deep,
Once we upload our jar file, do we recieve any confirmation saying that file has been uploaded or is there anyway to check the same.
does anyone whats the time period for which the permission of uploading is valid.
I got my permisison 2 days back and yest night i was trying to upload.. while selecting file from the pop-up window , I found that i didnt get any status abt uploading and my main window had timed out.

When i tried to re-loging and upload file again,, it said i dont have permission to upload.

Now i have no idea if my file was uploaded or not ? I have emaild sun about it,since it will take 2 days to know the status geting anxious.

If anybody has any idea pls convey.

thanks in advance,
rashmi

Rashmi,

I do not remember exactly. But I think the screen after the upload gives some kind of message saying upload done. I do not remeber getting an extra emails from sun about it.

You can open a ticket with prometric about this for validation.
