How to describe external system in component diagram?

Hi,
I used the package element and a <<subsystem>> stereotype
works fine. you coudl sue the subsystem element in Rational Rose but depending ont he reader they might not consider it valid UMl so I stuck with the package

I used exactly the same package stereotype and it really works.
