Is it necessary to draw them too??? My diagrams are already large, with the alternative flows will be very large... Please, some tips from who is already a SCEA...
When drawing a sequence diagram tp represent a Use Case you need to have a sequence diagram for each Use Case... This woudl indicate you need to perform the alternate flows but you can put them on different diagrams
Alternate flows r a must. I put them on the same sequence diagram and it worked for me. I showed more alternate flows then were needed becuase of my assumptions.
U could also show them in different diagrams. HTH Dhiren
In my case I just showed alternate flows by [condition]message----> and it worked all right. Thats is generally how u would depict an alternate flow if u had to show one on the same sequence diagram HTH Dhiren
