I got confused at the pricing as:
Per the interview, the CIO is saying the price is based on destination and class. So does not it depend on date and time?

In real-world , the prices vary heavily depending on date and time of journey.

In particular , I was considering the following scenario:
In Change Itinerary , when a segment is changed, if the user changes only date or time but not the destination or departure cities.

In this will the price change for that segment?
I was thinking , yes it will change. But I just do not want to violate the requirements if I am assuming the price will change , incorrectly.

Looking for your comments , sugestions .

Kirti,

Consider this:

As per the requirement, the price of a seat is same no matter when you book it. So if buy the ticket 10 days in advance or 1 day before the flight or 1 hour before the flight, the price of the seat should remain the same for that flight.

What requirement does not state clearly is: Should system allow different prices for the same seat for different seasons?

So there are two options left:
(a) Take the shorter route and document this in the assumptions that single pricing scheme would be allowed OR
(b) Take the much better and complex route to present the design of allowing different prices for the same seat for different seasons.

I hope I made by point clear.

regards,
Deepak
