Hi All,

Got last week the details about my scoring and even though it's not the best score ever, I'm really happy because I made it!

I know a lot about the business rules for airline companies here in Brazil and I tried to use all this knowledge in my test and I hoped to get next to the maximum score in the class diagram as it showed the constraints of the business rules but it was not the case and I really think that SUN should change the way they report the result, providing more feedback or chage the points which are taken into account when evaluating each diagram, creating subitems or something similar.

Bellow, the results:

Grade: P
Score: 75

Comment: This report shows the total points that could have been awarded in each section and the actual amount of points you were awarded. This information is provided in order to give you feedback on your relative strengths on a section basis. The maximum number of points you could have received is 100, minimum to pass is 70.

Class Diagram (44 maximum) .......................... 33
Component Diagram (44 maximum) ...................... 32 Sequence/Collaboration Diagrams (12 maximum) ........ 10

Thanks!

First I read Cade's book to feel how the exam would be, re-read the Core J2EE Design Patterns, actually the most actual version where I got more info about the Application Service Design Pattern which I heavily used in my architecture, then for the rest I used my professional experience.

I also did a layered approach for the component diagram which got really cool, I just don't know why I lost so many points as it shows all the connections with the external systems.

That's it. Good luck!

Daniel

Hi All!

Thanks again! Obrigado, Marcelo

About the Petstore question, I already knew the architecture of Petstore. I believe it's THE architecture definition but I believe the requirements for the assignment are much simpler than the arch. applied to Petstore.

So I decided to use the architecture I'd use in a real system with the same "size" and similar requirements to the SCEA's assignment.

congrats Daniel!!!

Can you please tell us how many components were present in the component diagram and how many classes in the class diagram? Did you have the class diagram technology independent?

thanks
