Why are you screaming ?

It's really not clear what you are asking or what type of advice you want. Please explain yourself better.

I personally won't trust anyone with only SCEA, without SCJP/SCBCD.

It seems like you already know what you want, don't you?

SCEA certification [still] looks impressive to those management types, so go ahead and to it.
On the other hand, SCEA part I contains ~30% questions about EJBs, so if you did SCBCD you can easily try SCEA part I as well. For both SCJP and SCBCD there are good books available, so if you got 3 years experience, it's about 3 days of preparation for each exam.

3 days ........ ... Something not right here. I passed scwcd last year and still preparing for SCEA P1......
May be you can do that in 3 days if you are not married and don't have kids....

But looking at EJB coverage in part 1, I am now tempted to go quick and dirty on SCBCD
