Hi guyz,

how can we demonstrate that a system can respond in a given time ??? Or how can a system have an average response time that do not exceed X seconds , y% of the time ?

I really dont know how to demonstrate that.

Any ideas ?

Tery

The grader will look first at two factors which have heavy impact on performances

1/your use of the network i.e frequency of remote requests, if there's chattiness (multiple round trip remote calls) your performances will be low
2/your transaction model: Are transactions used where really needed ? Are the selected isolations levels appropriate ?
Thre're general guidelines to verify that an application meets performance requirements

Reviewing the actual specifications and capabilities of the servers is helpful too. Just do a search on Sun's site for the server model number.
