I am trying to decide whether or not to buy the Whizlabs Design Patterns book in order to study for the SCEA part1....Anyone had any good experiences studying from this book? Is it worth buying it or is the Cade book enough?

Hi Jason

I have bought and studied the HF design patterns book as a preparation for the exam as I wanted to gain a good understanding of the design patterns. If you are already an expert on the GOF design patterns then you can skip it. One of my main objectives behind studying for the certification is not just to pass the exam but also to gain a good understanding of the subject matter. I can say that Head First Design Pattern is well written and must become part of any devloper's collection.

Thanks

I would suggest to go for HF book.
This is 1 excellent book I have seen for design patterns.

I suggest you must purchase book and go through thoroughly.

And GOF patterns are something which is not gonna change or upgrade in couple of years. It has been used from years and continue to be used for years.
