Hi, guys

I have passed the SCEA for about a week, and I still seeing enrolled status in the i-7 cert tracker database. How long does it take for you guys to receive the actual certification package from Sun?

thanks,

Jeremy

Depends on where you are and when they get off their rears.

Watch the history for the message that they've mailed your kit - for me (I'm in Maryland, USA), I've found that it takes roughly five business days for the kit to reach me. If you don't see it after roughly another three weeks, drop them an email and nudge them slightly.

I'm having the same problem too. There's nothing telling that I got certified on the history. Is it ok?
Thanks.

I passed SCJP 310-056 more than a week ago and still nothing in the history. For some reason Certmanager is really not being updated promptly. I think this affects all certifications.

Dibbo Khan: Don't go by CertManager except for SCEA/SCJD. Seriously. I've found that it doesn't update reliably - for instance, my SCJA beta (June 24th) hasn't shown up there, but my SCWCD Update (August 5th) has. Use i7 - my exams tend to show up there within a day or so.

Jorge Walendowsky: Are you sure that you checked i7, and not CertManager? I imagine it's entirely possible for them to have a problem with updating their history, but if you are checking i7, email them at SunCert@Prometric.com to find out what's going on. I've found that while it sometimes takes them a while to track down problems, they generally do get the job done.

Hi,

Thanks for your prompt reply. The assignments link has a record of my test as does prometric. But aren't Certmanager and 17i effectively the same thing anyhow??? The problem is that Certification Progress doesn't list this new certification.

I think by 17i you just mean the list of assignments and passes and failures instead of the history and Certification progress which is in Certmanager. This part of Certmanager and 17i are really the same website, aren't they???

They're not "really" the same, no. As I've stated in other threads... my taking the SCJA exam is not reflected in CertManager (http://www.certmanager.net/sun_assigment/) while it is in i7 (i7lp.integral7.com/durango/do/login?ownername=sun&channel=sun&basechannel=prometric). The data probably comes from similar sources, but is updated differently, from what I can tell.

OK, today, I emailed them about this, and they manually updated the status to certified, and now I am waiting for the welcome kit to arrive. Therefore, I suggest anyone here who had the same problem as me shoot them a email.

No problem.

By the by, my certification kit arrived today (at work, no less). So it takes about a week or so, from their offices to the US east coast...
