G'day,

I had pass SCEA around year ago, and only now want to clear the part 2 and 3, just don't know will SCEA part 1 had expire already or not. Can any one tell me will SCEA part 1 expire if I not clear other part in a year time?

Thanks

As far as I know, there's no expiration date for any of the Sun certifications.

You don't have to re-take part-1, as long as sun does not upgrade SCEA to a newer version

And to that point, we also don't know when (or if) Sun will upgrade the SCEA exam or how they're going to handle upgrades. It's not something you need to worry about quite yet... and even if they do "upgrade" the SCEA, I'm assuming they'll do what they've done in the past, which is allow you to continue with the current level (since there are 'versions' of other exams that you can still take, even though more recent versions of the technology have come out).
