Hi,
I am just starting with my SCEA preparation. I am confused with the differences between Architecture, Design, Framework and Platform.

Can someone throw more light on these terms?

Hi Sreedevi

Go to this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

Then, search for the definitions that you are looking for, except add the word "software" before each one of them. You should get definitions for all the terms you are confused about. For example, here is what it gives you when you search for "Software Architecture" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_Architecture

If you want to dig deeper, you may want to read one of Steve McConnell or Martin Fowler's books since these terms appear in them in the right context.

Best regards

Platform --------> land ----------->J2EE providers[wlogic,wsphere...]
Framework --------> Foundation ----------->struts[web]spring[j2ee]
Architecture--------> How many floors-------->2-n tiers
Design --------> Blue print -------->UML diagrams
