Hi,
Cleared
SCEA Part I today morning. I 'm mentioning some of my feelings
over here, everyone is free to add/suggest.
I managed 43/48 (89 %) score.
Sheet looks like
1)concepts 100
2)common arch 83
3)legacy connect 80
4)
ejb 88
5) ejb cont model 100
6)protocols 100
7)applicab. j2ee 100
8)design patt 80
9)messaging 100
10)internationa 100
11) security 50
In my opinion, each question requires us to think over it. It looks like many can be candidate options but your
best guess has to make out to be the answer. I got some deady ones on security with 8 options , 2 to
select. Many ques are related to EJB. So even a legacy, protocol, security questions will talk in terms of
EJB.
The best way to prepare is go through articles in FAQ list. Create your own understanding and question the
answers as to why they are correct.
My prepairation includes
1) SCEA study guide
2) cade study guide
3) articles
4) GOF book
5) Martin's UML book
6) A few mock exams
7) Head first EJB
8) Sun blue prints ( didnt read it completly, just had a look over text)
9)Head first
patterns I found things comfertable because I've already done SCBCD (98) (Mar ,05)and that becomes a function of
my approach towards EJB related ques.
Following are some suggestions towards Part I
1) Have good understanding of EJB
2) read through articles
3) try questioning why everywhere,
4) try mocks , but dont try which dont offer explaination
5) Make your own notes
6) last but not least , be a good person.
(do you think last one is not relevant? think over...why?)
I cant thank the forum enough, many ranchers here have been really great
in explaining the stuff. This forum rocks!!!
Please feel free to ask if required.
Regards,
Amol
