I agree that it's likely better advice to try some of the other exams first, but it is entirely possible to go straight for SCEA if you feel you have the requisite knowledge in the
Java EE space, which you might after three years working with it. The question, though, is more a matter of your experience with design of applications rather than development - as the SCEA exam is more targeted towards the UML design of an application rather than the nitty-gritty of the Java code needed to carry through such a thing.
Just another viewpoint.
