If you are at the beginners level in UML and if you are from INDIA, you can have a look of first 12 chapters(more than sufficient for part I) of "LEARN UML in 24 hours" of Techmedia publication. This will help you to understand Fowler's book easily.

The book may be good or bad, but what it has to do with the person coming form India?

Good question! I dont know whether it is available online or not! Once I tried to get it thru ONLINE when I was preaparing for PART I, but I failed to get it. Then I searched in the local shop and I got it. So, to avoid questions like "I am not getting in my area" or "can you give me your soft copy of that book" , I meant to say that it is available in Indian market. So, now I hope its clear how "INDIA" name came.
