Hello every body,

I just came from the exam center with flying colors

I still can't belive that I passed SECA-1

. Exam is really tough than the usual mock exams.

here is my score : 81%

concepts ------------------ 66%
common architectures-------- 83%
Legacy Conectivity---------- 80%
EJB------------------------- 88%
EJB Container model--------- 100%
Protocols------------------- 100%
Applicability of J2EE------- 66%
Design Patterns------------- 80%
Messaging------------------- 100%
I18N------------------------ 100%
Security-------------------- 0%

yea,

I found security and Legacy system connectivity very tough in exam. They are no match with that in the mock tests. BTW, I don't have any real time experience as an architect, I studied everything for the exam.
lack of experience reflected in the exam

but about Security - maybe you can point us to some specials to learn.
I went through a lot of Mock with different results...

Michael, security always seemed okay to me while doing practice tests, however I failed miserably in the real test. In my view, Security and Legacy System connectivity are the toughest ones in the test.

I read following books for SCEA -1

Head First EJB's
Head First Design Patterns
Martin Folwer - UML
and all the tutorials/ white papers and notes prepared by 'John Wetherbie' and others. ( all from SCEA online resources at JavaRanch).
also some notes by Balaji and sample questions from SCEA_prep yahoo groups helped me.
